Darryl Starbird’s Rod & Custom Car Show

I am in Tulsa at the Rod & Custom Car Show riding with the FMX East guys, Clint Esposito, Travis Willis and Kenny Steinke. We did a show last night and have one today at 4 and 9pm and then again tomorrow at 4. Walking through the car show it’s cool to see the car owners taking so much pride in their work and are on cloud nine from everyone drooling at their rides.

In Denver tonight

I made the 17 hour drive to Denver, CO yesterday to do a halftime show at the Cycle City Promotions Arenacross with Willy Watts. My bike feels slow being a mile above sea level, but we have a nice landing so the show should be good.

In Shreveport, LA with FMX East

Clint Esposito invited me to a show in Shreveport, LA this weekend and we are riding with Chip Bishop and Fred (can’t spell his last name) from Brazil. It has some monster trucks and some mx guys racing a little track that is set up with all the freestylers racing too. Should be a fun night.

Successful night!

Last night was a lot of fun. We had a full crowd that gave out tons of energy. Willy and I both stepped up our tricks and hopefully left everyone pleased. It was good getting to hang out with Cody and Willy and I look forward to more shows with them. There was a photographer there and I should have some pics up by tomorrow.

Cody Elkins’ truck

The show went real good last night and there was a bigger crowd than I expected. Cody Elkins is here doing the announcing and just hanging out. He is into building show trucks and has his newest one here with him. It’s pretty fancy.

Going big!

I was glad to find out that I am not the only one riding in the demo tonight. I am riding with Willy Watts from Tulsa, OK. I wasn’t so glad when I jumped the ramp at 65ft and was too scared to stand up. We pushed the ramp in about 4ft and we can now do tricks, just not very big ones. I did a kod indy and it looked like I was about to kick the light. It might not be the best show tonight, but it still will be a good one.

Lafeyette, LA

I got a call last Sunday to do a show in Lafeyette this weekend. Cody Elkins was the original rider, but got hurt last weekend. It is an arenacross and I will do a halftime show. I am the only rider which isn’t the most fun to do, but at least I will be the best one out there.

Snow in Houston!

It was 75 on Tuesday and then snowed last night . It has been many years since it has snowed here and actually stuck to the ground. It is suppose to be back up to 75 by Sunday. Good ol’ Houston weather.

Pin removed!

I broke my foot in January of 2004 in Metger’s foam pit the first day trying my varial. I had to get a pin put in that was suppose to be removed 6-8 weeks later. Well I never went to the Dr., so five years later I finally decided I would get it out. Now I should be able to stand on my toes again without it hurting the next time I am pretending I am taller or something. Ok, maybe I don’t stand on my toes much, but it is still nice to have out.
